People the world over regard Alaska as one of the best fishing grounds on Earth, and they couldn’t be more correct. Our tributaries and rivers are unobstructed and pristine, and fed by clean glacier and ground water. Millions of fish, a variety of trout, salmon and others, infiltrate our waterways throughout the spring and summer, giving our guests a fish tale they won’t have to embellish. You may even have to underestimate the size of your catch, or friends and family may question the validity of your story.

Ice fishing, too, couldn’t be better. Landlocked trout, salmon, and pike are some of the favorite species to pull up through the ice and supplement the holiday feasts. During the winter, there’s no need to let that fishing rod and reel collect dust.

Fishing in the Talkeetna area and throughout the Susitna Valley drainage is second to none. In fact, we’re visited by professional and recreation fisherman from all over the world. You, too, can find the thrill of the catch within walking distance of our lodge.
